What forms of payment do you accept?
We can accept paypal, checks, or credit card. We charge a processing fee for credit cards and accept Visa/Mastercard only. Checks or paypal are preferred.
How does the deposit work?
You pay $500 for a security deposit + 30% which secures your rental. Once you vacate the property, the property manager inspects for damage, and the cleaners let us know if there were excess cleaning charges. In most cases, if you treat our property as if it were your friend's second home, you can expect your deposit to be returned.
Is the rate negotiable?
Comparable resort properties rent for significantly more money so we usually do not discount. However, for last minute rentals, we may apply a small discount depending on length of stay, size of party, and season.
Pets?
No, our family has allergies to pets, so no pets please.
How do I check-in?
We will send you instructions with the specific address, unit number, and code to unlock the key lockbox. You will be able to call the property management company should you experience any problems.
Is this ski-in/ski-out?
We are across from the mountain resort, a short shuttle ride or a quick walk away. When we stay, we take the shuttle as it runs frequently. Ski-in/ski-out properties as nice as ours rent for double or more what we charge.
Do you charge for the wireless Internet access?
No.
Do I need a rental car?
Depends. For the summer, it is recommended for trips to Yellowstone, fly fishing, hikes, etc. For the winter, it is possible to go entirely with shuttles if you are going to stay local to Big Sky. Shuttles are available to/from the Bozeman airport. There is local grocery delivery service and you can get up to the restaurants at either the Moonlight Lodge and Big Sky Resort quickly on the shuttle.
How far are you from Bozeman?
About a 50 minute drive (depending on the weather). If it's snowing allow an extra 30 minutes.
How far are you from Yellowstone?
We are 18 miles as the crow flies and a 40 minute drive to the west park entrance.
Are there any airports other than Bozeman which are within driving distance?
Yes, you can try Idaho Falls (2.5 hours) or Billings (3 hours). Flights to Billings have been cheaper recently on Frontier Airlines. You will need a rental car in this case, as there is not a shuttle from those other cities to Big Sky.
